Naerim Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

Naerim is an app for keeping your own coffee beans, equipment, recipes, and brewing records. The developer does not collect personal data from the Naerim app or track you. There is no app registration, developer-operated server, advertising SDK, or third-party analytics SDK.

Where your records are stored

Your beans, equipment, personal recipes, brew records, ratings, tags, and notes are stored on your device. When iCloud is available, saved data and selected bean photos use your private iCloud database so they can be available on devices using the same Apple Account. The developer does not operate a server that collects or reads these personal records.

Recovery information for an active or unsaved brew and app appearance preferences stay on the current device. Live handoff of an active brew between devices is not provided. iCloud processing is subject to your Apple Account and device settings and Apple's service policies. Apple Privacy Policy

Photos

The app imports only the photos you choose with the system photo picker. It does not read your entire photo library. Before saving, the app creates a smaller copy and removes original metadata such as location, device, and capture time. The original in your Photos library is unchanged. You can replace or remove a bean photo.

Notifications and permissions

Step notifications are off by default. The app requests system notification permission only when you enable the feature. Notifications are scheduled on your device and are not used for advertising or tracking. You can brew and keep records without using photos or notifications.

Exports and external links

When you export, the app creates a CSV or JSON file for the selected data and opens the system share sheet. You choose whether to include bean photos in JSON. You decide which app or location receives the file, and that service's privacy policy may apply. The app does not automatically send exported files to the developer.

Bean and recipe source links, support links, and policy links open external services when you choose to open them. Those services handle data under their own policies.

Retention and deletion

Your saved records remain until you delete them in the app or manage the relevant device or iCloud storage. When deleting a bean, you can choose whether to delete its related brew records as well. Deleting equipment or a recipe may leave its historical details in previous brew records. Review the scope shown in the deletion confirmation.

iCloud changes and deletions can take time to reach other devices. Check records that have not yet synced and any files you previously exported separately. Removing the app does not guarantee removal of all iCloud data or copies stored elsewhere. The developer cannot open or restore your private iCloud records for you.

If you contact support

If you email support, we receive your sender email address, your message, and any attachments you choose to send so we can respond. The app does not collect this information automatically. We use it only as needed to handle your request, not for advertising or tracking. Support material is deleted when it is no longer needed to handle the request, subject to any legally required retention. You can request deletion of support correspondence at the same address. Please do not send passwords or Apple Account credentials.

Changes and contact

If the app's data handling changes, we will update this page and the date above.
